First Trout

Took my son,he's 3 1/2, fishing for the first time this week. First day there were some fellas in our fishing hole so we had to fish for some creek chubs. Sure wish I could get that excited catching hornedace. Second day we went we got to fish the good hole. We moved a few trout from the local streams so the kids have a place to C&R some trout. It was priceless when he hooked his first trout. All he could say was "it keeps pulling me dad". Just one of those moments in time that lasts a lifetime...

    All my brothers use are 3-4 ft ugly sticks. They say it works great for steelhead or trout and 12lb test is their best line they say. IT works great they say. But thats good he got to enjoy a nice day of fishing.
