Back From Port Clinton with Some Walleye & Pics

The weather was perfect and the fish were on!  2 days at PC and we got a 3 person limit both days.  Most of the fish came jigging either hair jigs tipped with minnies or chartruese sonars.  Saturday, it took us until about noon to get our limit and Sunday we were on the water by 7 a.m. and done by 8:30.  Once again, the facilties were supurb and we met a lot of cool people.  I'd say there were about 150 boats on average on each reef!  The biggest fish of the trip was a 27" male that my dad got....on average, the fish were between 18" and 24".  It was a blast and we will probably be headed back out next weekend weather permitting.  If you have never tried this spring bite in the western basin, you've got to get out and experience it for yourself.  The only drawback of this whole trip was the gas prices!!

Might as well start it now, "The Walleyes are Coming, The Walleyes are Coming!"
