Possible PA Record caught at North Pier

If this friggin' thing wasn't over a pound, I'm not 37, overweight, with a receding hairline.  No measurement taken, but this thing was F-A-T, phat!

PA doesn't have a record for them, but I should've taken it to PR's anyway.  It was easily 3 times bigger than any goby I'd ever caught before.

Fought like a beast!

That is huge! Easily 2X the size I catch. Looks a little different and darker than  the ones from Ontario. How did it taste? lol

Hope you gave it the boot scoot......

Notice it says caught, not caught and released.

Thanks.  I don't know why I didn't take a head-on shot.  You really miss out on the girth of the thing.

It does sorta look like Mr. Hanky, doesn't it?  Hi-dy ho!

Well, why don't you just submit it to the state as a record?  That way you can be the first to establish a record for gobies.  After all it is an "introduced" species, just like the brown trout, and the rainbow.  Just think of the gobie fishing tourneys you could start.  Winning catch 12 gobies for a wt. of 1.2 lib.  LOL  Imagine the crowd at the pier as folks try to break your record.  However for any fish to be considered it must be removed from the water and destroyed after weighing.

Who can I get to sponsor next April's North Pier Pro-Am All-Kill Goby Tournament?

You'd think EVERY charter boat, EVERY bait and tackle shop, and ALL the sport-fishing clubs would want to get in on a group Hell-bent on killing as many of the **** things as they can.

I wonder if anybody has actually eaten any of them.

    Goby Gumbo???
    Fry 'em up like smelt???
