You don't know how many friends and lost relatives you have till you pop open a fresh bag of eyes. Always some one around to share fresh fish..

$9.99 is a good price, but as mikeg stated, no memories. I read about an awesome fish market in Pittsburgh called Wholeys and based on the article decided to make a trip and visit. The article stated it rivaled fish markets on the East coast and it was impressive in many respects and worth the trip. They had whole walleye[called them yellow pike] and they were $17.00/lb! This was 10 years ago.

When in college at Lock Haven, I lived on fish and deer.  It was amazing how many "friends" I found the minute I started grilling each night.    I found a solution however.  Since I butchered my own, I began to label it differently.  Steaks were labeled "Roadkill Skunk"  Chops were "Road Kill Coon" Cubes were "Possum".  Most of the "friends" were inner city kids who didn't know a cut of meat from a snowball so it worked!  But they still talk about the hillbilly that lived in the apartments who ate coon and possum, to this day.

    Wholey's is awesome for seafood.

okay lets be honest...most families dont like their relatives THAT much...why would you want to give the fish you had a fun time catching away to have some **** relative that doest do **** for you? same goes about friends...unless they are good friends that they do things for you. Personally i'd give people things but over time it doesnt benefit you, they'll just want more and  more. I find that my fishing time is very precious and i value doing it. i enjoy the satisfaction of utilizing what i catch. NOT just to give it away so i can play a number game,

And not to play a the game of money, shouldnt matter but have you figured out what really giving a bag away costs you? do those people you give that to realize that? fishing is by no means free. yes its your free time..tell them next time oh why dont we go out on your boat and use your tackle and you can keep the fish..bet you they'd have a different outlook on that "Free" bag of fish you just gave them.

Bull, i have 5 daughters that are grown now. They use to fish with me when they were young. They all love eating fresh fish. They still fish...... but it's my freezer they fish. They can have as much as they want. I just go catch more. Not all relatives are a-holes. At least not mine. A couple of my brothers that dont have much time to fish will buy my bait and give me gas money to go fishing. I'll fillet them some fish and they come pick it up. No problem. I'd give it to them free but they know that it costs money to fish, so they always offer me something. I hope i never get to a point where i feel the way you do about family. Or is it just your in-laws?
