So back to the original question of this thread - DOES ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF THIS MADDNESS - Well do they?? And, would they please post it. I suggested to my brother we should give it a go and he said not a shot. Been there done that & not gonna do it again. Maybe next year I'll take a ride, pack a lunch, and check it out. But would like to see what I'll be gettin myself into.   Dave

Saw a guy last night w/ his kids and he told me that the walleyes were done at the spillway.  Said they were only catching carp now.I wonderd when i drove by the other night and saw that if i wanted to i could actually get a spot, not that I would. Too much of a circus for me.

I was told the water level is about 2.5 - 3 feet high right now.  It sure would've been nice to fish that without having to stand in 3 ft. of water while holding onto the railing.  It sure made for a sore back the past few days.

I actually heard of somebody going through all that for crappie right over the chain.  I'm sorry, but there's no way I'd be doing that when they hit well all around that area.  Walleye, well, that's another story.  There aren't too many places to hit them right now, but crappie were being caught all along that wall before midnight.

yeah there wasnt that many boats yet, i took that picture like in at 730 in the afternoon a bunch came later at night. i just saw that was the 2nd of april. when i took it.
most guys wear a pair of waders in case tehy have to get down low. most of the time its nice anyway becuase you gotta crawl all around on freaking rocks and there is alot of water around iguess.

That is the same thing the walleye fishermen say when we see the pics of the project waters and manchester hole.....

Chauncy ,the local crowd developed the board to relieve the foot pain that do get from standing on that 45 degree wall, its storta like hunting a W.V. mountain side,at the end of the day one leg is 6 inches longer. There was a guy selling them one year $5 a piece, but I made my own,so I'm a SEMI local.

Well, I got a couple dinner's worth in tha freezer, and found a store to get a decent selection of vib"e"s at.  Next Spring, I'll be prepared with my own board-wedgie, plenty of sleep ahead of time, and I may just have to buy myself a Z28.  Everytime I drive down there, I end up wishing I had one, you know, so I can fit in.

Carp food!

It'd be like tossing somebody into a pen of hogs.

TT,
just wondering if you, or anyone else, could hook me up with the best place(price and selection) for vib"e"s.  ordered a bunch of cicadas and they just don't seem to do the trick.   thanks,      jim

I just noticed them at****s.  Not a great selection of colors, but a few sizes and colors to get you started.  I overheard people talking down there about getting them at "the baitshop".  I don't know where the local shop is there, but I bet they have 'em.  I bet they would work if you are using sonar to find structure to bounce them around.   Good luck.

I've fished pymy my whole life and the spillway was maybe my favorite spot ever with the variety of fishing possibilities each season held but now it's trash central. I feel that way at least when I fish there and wait patiently for a spot , not ON the wall, but by it and can't get a shot at it because it's being held for buddy.

P.S. Once a year we would clean up the trash around the spillway, bread bags, fishing line, bait cans, ect.
Now that feels like a lost cause and I never imagined in my life saying that. SAD SAD DAY!!!!! I'm sorry to and for all you true sportsmen and the youth who are the future of this falling society!

I dorve by the one day and there were about 3 times as many boats as in the picture.  They were lined up with just enough room to snag I mean jig between them.  I have heard the rumor that beacuse of all of the snagging (41 citations one day) fist fight and a gun being pulled this year that this was it.  They are closing it down next year.  Just what I heard.
