Pyma Ice

I'm hoping to get my boat out for this first time this upcoming weekend (4/5 and 4/6).  I had planned to launch at Jamestown and focus on the southwest portion of the lake.  Other pyma reports have me concerned about ice.  Looks like temps are gonig to be fairly warm this week.  Think I'll be able to fish this area or should I make alternative plans?

thanks

Depending upon how warm it gets between now and then, wind, and amount of WARM rain, you might be able to get out this weekend.  You may have to dodge a few icebergs, but you might be able to get out.

We had a big ice pack shift on us on Chautauqua once. Closed up to shore and almost stranded us.

Same thing happened to a group of us at shenango a couple years ago. Wind shifted and blocked the ramp for a couple hours. Ice was packed in there pretty tight.
