Fish, Friends and Fun on the Tribs.

Fished the westside tribs the last couple days with a few of my buddies because were on spring break. Water was awesome color. Fish were pickier than usual but we still had banner days all week.  Here is a few pics.

There was a lot of fish on gravel, this one took a big stone.

Those are the best spring break photos I've seen. I hope I can raise my own children to make those kinds of choices. I'll bet all of your parents are proud.

Nope no bait, it all stinks.  A lot of them holes on that stretch of elk would sure be nice to have a noodle rod or a pin.  There big and slow in the front, with current in the back, its hard to get a good drift with a fly rod, especially a 9 ft.  Plus, fish just stack in them.  We will all have to get together sometime soon and fish.

My son Ryan went with me on 3/11, 12 while on spring break from Penn State. He smoked me on Wednesday morning, landing 5 before I had any. I eventually took over, after he learned the story of the young bull and the old bull looking down on the herd of cows from the hilltop. I can't say any more about that particular story, but the patience that comes with age is a valuable tool in catching these steelheads.  Nice pictures Krott. It looks like you guys had a ball. Had Zonkers out today for pellets in a DHALO around here.  We both suck but he got to drink some shine for his "ahem" cough.  lol
