Good day at Mammoth

Since the Loyalhanna was still a little high, I decided to hit mammoth park this morning.  There were a few guys fishing but not crowded.  I managed to catch 21 trout in 3 hours.  A few were caught on wax worms, the rest were on a gold and silver thomas lure

i've never had much success fishing Mammoth lake when it comes to trout. i used to do real good though by fishing the creeks that enter and leave the lake. but within the past few years both creeks have filled up with silt so the fishing has really went downhill.

Had a decent day with pellet heads today on Jacobs Creek near Mt Pleasant. Released 15 - all unhurt and none gut hooked.

    Invicta,

I live only a few miles away and usually never fish mammoth because I never really did well.  However, I decided to go yesterday since I didn't have much time before work.  I was really surprised at the number of fish I caught.

    Wally Cat,

I have never fished Jacob's Creek before.  I hear a lot about it but have yet to try it.  Maybe next week when I get back from Florida.
