Anyone have this 2 week cold?

Kid got sick 2 or so weeks ago. Made its way to my wife and I a few days after. 
Wife's done with it. Here I am 12 days in. Just got confirmation I'm running double ear infections, after 12 days of cold symptoms, hurting teeth from sinuses, mucus, the whole shebang. Dayquill manages most of the symptoms, just pretty frustrating. Doctor I went to said it's on the rise, and she's seen it dozens of times in the last few weeks.

Tested Covid 3X - all negative. 

Point of this post is - if anyone happens to catch a cold that's been hanging on for 5+ days - it'd be a good idea to see your doctor and try to get ahead of it. Wish I had.

My son picked up something last Friday while at a Church camp. Wife took him to get tests. All negative. Take him to school on Tuesday and Dr. Calls and says the labs confirmed strep…. Had to pick him up. Antibiotics seem to have him cleared up though. My throat has been scratchy for the past two weeks, but pretty sure allergies.

I was sick the entire month of September.  Lots of head mucus and rough cough.  Round of antibiotics, prednisone etc...IT SUCKED...could not kick it.  Hopefully you feel better.  Mine was just a bad virus but they ended up giving me antibiotics in case there was a lung infection.  

Yeah, had a few Covid tests, pretty confident it's not that. 

Now I'm just experiencing ear clogging. I have ear troubles anyways, but my eustachian tubes are nice and filled. Pseudoephedrine and Augmentin seems to be working, slowly. There's periods where they do unclog, and it's like everything and everyone is suddenly screaming. 

Have a followup Friday. Guess we'll see then. Today is day 15 since it all started 

I cant necessarily totally undesrstand what you guys are going thru, but when I get Clogged, 99% of the time Pseudoephedrine usually does the trick for me to clear that symptom. But moroften than not, I'm still being crushed by that nasty cold.

Ears clear, feeling much better. 

Doc says there's still fluid behind them, but the inflammation is way down and infection is on its way out. 
There's usually some fluid in my ears during these months, so I think I'm in the clear now.

Well that blows... Hope it doesn't drag you and your family down to far

Yeah, my son was out for a day and rebounded fast it seems. I tested because my lower back felt like it got hit by a baseball bat. Every time I've had it - that's been a symptom. As soon as I felt it I knew. 

Had some chills last night, lots of gross stuff, and just general brain fog this time around. Wifes the same. You're right though eyes, silver lining, will not have to worry about it ruining Xmas.
