I have no idea how to get images in here.  But I tried to attach it.  LMK if you can read that.  It's a FB post from last month on the erie stillhead page, regarding the landowner posting his property.

Yeah I read it. Needed my glasses but I read it. No worries I never really fished there and wasn't planning to.

Again any news about the Trestle being still posted??

Here's your answer, copied from Erie Area Fishing Reports page 10/8/22 :

"We were kicked out of high trestle by land owner who proceeded to tell us that it is post from elk park bridge to railroad trestle on both sides. I did hear the stories of the past about the high trestle but never had any issues and did not see posters. Does anyone know if that is posted."

"found my own answer. PFBC map link below https://www.fisherie.com/...s/LowerElkCreekMap.pdf It is private ground below high trestle.(It is posted!!) The hole right above Elk Park Bridge according to PFBC map is public access. I looked at who is the owner of the land that fishermen access, and it is Mercyhurst College(the side everyone uses.)"

Have you been at the tubes over past few weeks? Are they doing some type of project there?

If you live in PA, believe that's incorrect. Only 'navigable waterways' are public right of way. None of the Erie Tribs are considered 'navigable'--few streams, even those that some 'navigate' w Kayaks these days actually are.

Erie tribs not navigable. Property owners owns stream bed.
Yes they’re doing a project above tubes. Lots of digging and silt in water during the day.

 PFBC map link below

The high trestle bridge is train trestle,  accessed formerly off North Creek Rd.  The Elk Park Rd. Bridge is still public access.

We have our tipping point with this mess! Time for the state to wake up and really look at this nightmare. Lottery /voucher system to keep out of state people out of our PA streams. Overcharge them a price off the charts so that they either pay or stay away.
Local landowners keep posting the property!

I fish all over the place and was raised in PA. I live in WV now and still come back home to fish! I’m out of state now and can pay whatever price PA sends my way!!!! If everyone would practice catch and release instead of keeping everything you catch… the waters would flourish.Only then you’ll have fishing conditions like you guys had 10-15 years ago. It’s sounds more like you’re jealous of out of staters showing you up! My family and I dump all kinds of money in your state every year. So go ahead and post your lands and try to keep guys like me out! I’ll just keep buying property and hopefully returning it back to its equilibrium. That way we can keep guys one sided like you out of OUR PROPERTY. Then you can pay me to fish my pristine PA waters.

honest question, Rock.
do you own creek side property?
or do you fish on another man's property?

thanks

That’s fine to charge more for out of people. Be careful what you wish for because a lot of people I know sink a ton of money in your state! We respect fishing and the people around us because it needs to be the way it was 10-20 years ago. If people would practice catch and release then everyone would have fun. It’s not fun driving up 3-4 hours and seeing trash all over the place or beer cans that some looser drunk through all over the place. I grew up in PA and not everybody but most on the stream have some sense of entitlement to them. In other words, just because you reside in the state doesn’t mean you own it. So by any means necessary, raise the prices I could care less about any amount. It’s called a career many all day fisherman should try it or not wait for more government handouts!

90’s were pretty good times, before Al Gore invented fishing forums. This one pretty much ruined the tribs, hope this helpa.
