NSCAR Picks of the Week - 2021 - Martinsville
This week the racers Head to Martinsville for a SATURDAY NIGHT RACE, It's a classic Short track, Night race. Brakes and tires (as always) will be big events at this track.
I have some thoughts on the season so far. The 1st being that we have 7 different winners in 7 races so far. And the Points Leader doesn't have a win. Only 16 drivers will be in the playoffs, so some people better start winning more races, or people won't be able to "Point in" to the playoffs and some winners may be left out. TIRES: Yes new tires can help with a win. But personally I'd like to see them bring a harder compound tire, that would fall off less quickly, so there would be more driver skill involved. And finally,,, late race cautions? Doesn't it seem odd that late in a race, when a driver has a BIG lead, some back marker loses an engine, or has a flat and that bunches up the field for an exciting finish? If the guy drove 388 miles, and then blew an engine, or spun and hit the wall? Well enough of my rant.
Here's your Top 12: And $ indicates a race winner.
