LFZ Opening Halloween for spooky fishing for Zombies
Due to low water they are keeping it closed until further notice. Kind of saw It coming . There is no water in the Res. 135 Cfs is coming. Thanks for the released this summer

Every time they do this I ask "WHY ,what does it help?" It's catch and release so those fish will make it to the hatchery,however the rest of the river is "snag and rope" those fish are going into the garbage.IT just does n't make any sense!

Its listed here and there - one place even has a photo of the sign. Last time I recall this happening was the year of the last real huge run that kinda really slowed above the Pineville bridge in very low waters. Fish came by in the dozens instead of 3s and 4s that year- not like that since.' Much spawning by Kings and Hos took place lower that time too - likely because of the levels.

Not that I know of. I looked again and could not find it on DEC , but I am sure I found it before I posted. Last I read on another site it will be until 10/31

r3g3 Facebook is one of the last places I would depend upon for accurate information. Lol Kind of odd don't you think that a poster on Facebook would have this information yet nothing on the NYSDEC website.

They close that section to insure that they will have enough Salmon for eggs,they close a catch and RELEASE area but the snaggers below the Altmar bridge can snag away!!!It is n't making any sense ro me.
