Congrats DPMS, only saw only a 4 pt at first light. Called it quits at 2 pm. First time I have not let an arrow fly in the last 11 years. Looking forward to having a buck tag for gun season.

a buddy of mine pointed this out to me last week - statewide archery deer season runs through friday the 20th this year.
 
but here's where i'm a little confused . . . it shows different dates for the special regs area

Congrats dpms! Glad you finally got some action!

Been a pretty slow season for me with lots of work mixed in. Sat this morning behind the house until 10 and saw zero. Switched it up for the afternoon and went in behind my moms house. 1 small doe passed behind me at 3. Just before 4 I saw this guy comming and got the blood pumping. As he got closer I saw an arrow hanging out of his backstrap with minimal penetration. About 20 minutes earlier I had heard a whack and some commotion to the north of me and thought nothing much of it until this point. I was gonna let him pass by when I saw the arrow in him, but as he got closer and I realized he was sporting a non lethal shot I decided to put him down. 20yd shot and he went 50 and crashed. I hung out in the tree for a while to see if the other hunter came by but nothing. Got him all dressed out and made one more attempt to find the other hunter and let him know I put this buck down, but couldn't find anyone. Not exactly how I planned my hunt going, but I'm happy to finally have some meat in the freezer. Good luck out there these last couple days!

The first one is correct. 

Friend of mine is out today. He said best action he has seen all week. He let a 125inch 8 point walk and has seen lots of chasing going on. 

Seasons over here.  No sign of rut activity.  Hunted hard all week.  Only saw a 4 pt and he was not chasing a doe.  By far 2020 ranks as one of my worst archery seasons.  Hate to see what next year brings with 14 days of open season coming up.

Skunked on bucks for archery this year. Rut activity was weird this year, to say the least. Hunted this whole past week everyday but for that Sunday. Thunder Stick time.....

Sitting with my daughter in 2B with her crossbow trying to get it done. Slow so far. Heard a few but haven't put eyes on any deer yet. Only heard 5 or so shots so far....not far from toll 43 in Jefferson hills. Good luck to anyone out today....i would have posted this in the big game forum bit it won't open for me....

Got back in a tree yesterday for the late season opener from 2 till dark. Stiff southwest breeze and 16 degrees. Brrrrr......... For my efforts I saw zero deer. 

Sat from 2:30 till dark tonight. Had 6 does come through during a snow squall at 4:40. Just a bit too far to send an arrow. 

Been out with the smoke pole a few times. Passed up a small doe yesterday. Dont think i'm going to make it out tomorrow, so that's a wrap on deer season for me. Got a squirrel infestation on 1 of the properties I hunt. Gonna thin em out in the next couple of weeks.

Sat from 2 till dark tonight. 1 small buck and 7 does. Cold out there with the stiff breeze out of the NW. Back at it tomorrow.

Decided to hit the stand this morning for the last day here in the SRAs. Cold 16 degrees and a stiff breeze. I could have sealed the deal on a big doe at 15 yards at 9. She had a little one with her and I just couldn't shoot her. With 3 in the freezer I guess I felt like I didn't need to kill another that bad. Froze my butt off but it was a good way to end the season passing one up.
My intention was if I got one to donate it to Hunters Sharing the Harvest but so much for that plan. I guess now I wait till September 2021 to start it all over.
