NASCAR Picks of the week - Darlington May 17th

Gentlemen,
It looks like they are going to restart live racing on May 17.  Are we still doing this game?

Was wondering if qualifying and practice are going to take place?

    Gentlemen,
Well, alrighty then.  We will be going with the standings at the time of the shutdown, with ONE EXCEPTION.  Since Kyle Larson is "out" everyone below him will up one spot.  Unless NASCAR allows the points to transfer over to the new driver (Matt Kenseth), so we will see at race time.  I am going to make an executive decision and go with the Top 12:

         Here's your Top 12:
    1.  Kevin Harvick                                             7.  Aric Almirola
    2.  Joey Logano                                               8.  Matt DiBennedetto
    3.  Chase Elliott                                               9.  Brad Keselowski
    4.  Alex Bowman                                            10.  Denny Hamlin
    5.  Jimmy Johnson                                          11.  Kyle Busch
    6.  Ryan Blaney                                              12.  Clint Bowyer

       And here's My Picks:
                 Winner:  Jimmy Johnson
                          Long Shot:  Kurt Busch
                                  1st Out:  Quinn Houff

Good Luck!  Let's see if this works.

Kenseth. Yes, good to see him back. Very good driver. I was a little surprised when he lost his ride. A shame what happened in order for him to get back into racing.

    Gentlemen,
That was a very good race.  Unless you are a Jimmy Johnson fan. (me)  How can you crash out of the lead, when all you have to do is pass a slower car?  2.4 second lead, 1.9 seconds to a segment win?
We had one person pick the actual winner of the race.  That was Wood Nickle, picking:  Kevin Harvick.  We had two people pick the best Long Shot.  They were me and Timachro, picking:  Kurt Busch.  And we had two people pick the closest 1st Out.  They were Bigfoot, and Timachro, picking Garrett Smithey.
And this week's best picker, and NASCAR God of the Week is:  Wood Nickle, with a great 83 points!  Congratulations!
           Here's how we scored:
    1.  Wood Nickle **************************************  83
    2.  Fishin'Coyote ***********************************  74
    3.  Dano ****************************************  65
    4.  Hendey Lathe ********************************  62
    5.  Bloody Hand ********************************  59
    6.  Bigfoot ***********************************  49
    7.  Timachro *********************************  49
    8.  Indsguiz *****************************  39
Again Congratulations to Wood Nickle, And Thank You for playing.
Entries for Wednesday's race will be posted soonest.
