Elk current water conditions

Anyone have an idea on how the water conditions are on elk? Thinking of making the trip up tomorrow from Maryland.

I would guess Elk will be dirty and fast, although probably not blown out.

Looking at the gauge on Brandy Run, it was falling but ticked up to almost 20 CFS again. Walnut is still not down to 100 CFS. I live two hours away and if I had the time to fish all day tomorrow, I would not make a trip myself just to fish Elk.

If you do well in high, dirty water you might choose differently than me, but I don’t do well in those conditions. Some smaller streams
would probably fish well by late morning or early afternoon if there’s no more significant rainfall.

Well conditions were great and my buddy and I did great.  Best trip I have had in a long time.  Wed morning I landed 8 fish by 9am.  Fish were all very nice quality.  All fish caught on Brown trout roe bags.

Shhhhh we want to keep the streams without the Pittsburgh Ropers. I hear they are slaying the steelhead in ny! Erie is old news, move on Pittsburgh
