Nice. I’ve been itching. Let us know how it goes. Sort of sounds like my plan the first day out. Too many areas to hit/type of fish to target, too little time... Now you got channel cats on my mind too! Any tips on early season cats? I hear they taste better out of cold water.

Plenty ov guys on ice this past Saturday. Haven't been in the area since to check it out. The open water I was fishing was frozen over. Bringing some more Pike tackle back from camp tomorrow.

Went to www.erieextreme.com event in Fallston, Pa. on Saturday. Nice time. Free pig roast and met some of their gang. Kid friendly and funny fishing show.I think they are planning a show about striper fishing at Arthur. Fished the dam and below on the 70 degree day last week trying to use up ice fishing wax worms.

Right outside of the park, near the marina. Here is the number I have saved in my phone. Not sure if still same. (724) 368-8127. Not sure if he is stocked with bait yet. I’d assume he is more anxious of the weather to turn than we are.

I am going to be up there on Saturday or Sunday with the kids. Any shore spots that I should try this early in the season?

I stopped by the dam on Tuesday but didnt have time to fish. Just enough time to walk out, poke around, BS with another guy for a bit (cool dude btw), and then head back to the office.

Quit bragging!!!

Ha ha.  I really like them too.  It is a complete pain in the rear to get to their shop from where I come from.  I stopped there when I kept my boat at the marina.  Now it is an additional 1/2 hour out of the way...  They are great on giving tips and will order any lures or anything that he doesn't carry.

The Fishing Online store season opener.  I was there, too.  It was nice.  The place is pretty **** cramped, I was surprised.  Managed a door prize and a raffle prize, and met some of the fellow kayak anglers.  BBQ was good, and got to chat with Dave Lefebre real briefly, so that was nice.  All in all, I stayed about 2 hours.

Spent about 4 hrs on the lake Friday March 29.  Water temp was 45.6 and 45.9 in the shallows.  Got rained out and left without a smidgen of attention to any bait.  Has anyone else had any success?

Some reports from last couple weeks range from skunked too double limits on the Panfish bite.

Won't be out 'till Weds. or Thursday but targeting larger fish than the Pan.

Youngest son & I fished for Crappie after dark tonight. The bite was on the slow side but he did get his PB 14" slab for Arthur so he was happy.

They are in, if you didn't check it out this weekend.  Bass tournament on Saturday had the place packed.  We were unable to get any of the big boys to play early.  Not all too many pan fish either, but avoided a skunking and had some smaller ones sucking on the tails of the plastics and live minnows.  Either too small or too tentative to commit.  Nice weekend.

Yea, I called the park office on Friday after work since I never got response on here, they said 528 and Bear Run were in. I fished out of 528 on Saturday, if I had known there was a tournament, I would've fished other end of the lake. Upper 528 was packed with boats.

Those tournaments are another good reason to never fish that end of the lake.  Though they've started running them at Bear Run also.

Got into the Hybrids this morning, boy are they fun! Keep forgetting how good a fight they are. My arm is very sore from all the casting & holding rod. What works best for muscle/joint strains? Between bicep & forearm might put me on DL for awhile.
