I don't understand why people thought there would be a huge run based on reports from the Lake. I thought just the opposite, as folks were catching salmon from the Niagara Bar all the way to Henderson for much of the season, and every fish that went into the box on the lake was not around to run the tributaries. That said, there has been a "steady trickle" for over a month, I would say that is a pretty good run, even though there was never any "huge push." Also reports are that up river there are still tons of kings on redds, last year at this time it was mainly trouts.
I'll see first hand next week, unless it snows again!
