I'd like to help you out with the doing good part but can not. I do know yesterday at Snodgrass, the wind had some serious chop stirred up. Several boats drifting west to east just south of the launch. Moving north to Espeyville we saw a few boats fishing the causeway area. No one fishing the PA side and two fishing the Buckeye side from the causeway itself. Linesville marina had vehicles, some with empty trailers, parked at the launch and a big open sign was hanging at the bait & tackle store. From the Linesville causeway, the waters looked much calmer then that of Snodgrass and It didn't seem to be raining as hard either. Some folks was out-n-bout tossin bread to the fish but I could see no one was fishing the circus wall at the spillway. For dinner we enjoyed plenty of fish, baked mac&cheese and cole slaw too. when we discovered an ole feeding hole was once again producing. Keep this under your hat cause spot burning ain't allowed but..... Country Side Family Restaurant on 285 is open for take-out. On our way to Linesville we found a bb'que place too and can't says I know'd it was there before, but anyways matters not, we be checking them out soon enough. Good times tight lines and stay well.

Does anyone know if PA boats can launch in Ohio now? I assume you can, but not sure where to look to find out. Any help appreciated. Thinking of making the first trip on Thursday. The grandkids are itching to go!

I don't know bout the Buckeye side but finding a parking spot along the PA side today (5/16) may prove a challenge. I don't recall, ever seeing Jamestown so full along with Snodgrass & Espeyville at the same time. I don't know how the catchin is going but sure is a lot of folks fishin from shore and afloat. Did I mention spotty dense fog this morning? Launched out of Linesville this morning and wished I would of stayed at home. Place was a zoo boats blow right by you while your trolling( within 30 feet) had a ——— almost run his planner board right up the side my boat. Then when I went to leave there was a line to get out that wasn’t the problem it was all the other people that thought they need to cut in front of everyone else waiting. Watched a guy running a 115 hp and that was the only motor on the boat crazy. Spillway in the stumps lol that will be my last trip there

it was like that every where today , my god where did all these jackoffs come from it was a total circus, was fishing a brush pile [submerged beaver den ] today and these 3 idiots come motoring up and pull in on the other side 20 ft away, and then felt insulted when I said something. cant wait till all these idiots go back to work.

I have never experienced lake fishing like that. It was terrible. If you wanted to jig in a stationary spot...good luck. Someone would fly past you at full bore at about 15 ft away. It's like everyone forgot their manners and fishing courtesy.

Ya just gotta love the "doorknobs" 🤗 Folks may want to keep an eye to the sky this afternoon (5/17). Weather dude is posting weather alerts so if y'all don't know Pymy during adverse weather, this may not be a good time to learn. I gotta git, grass is a growin and needs a mowin.... (😣 I know, boo hssss) Good times & tight lines.

Musky fishing has been pretty good this year, mixed with nice weather yesterday, both of those coincided with Three Rivers chapter of Muskie Inc holding a tournament is one the reason for the full parking lots.

You said a mouthful there.👍👍 Probably Monday or Tuesday. Calling for rain off and on both days. That should keep the lookie-loos away... hopefully🙏😂

At Pymy?? Any results? That maybe 'xplains why so many tandem axle trailers in the parking lot at Jamestown. Big asz botor moats needin big azs botor moat trailers? Crossing the dam spillway at the Jamestown end of the lake, we did see lots of planer boards in tow. Meanwhile, guess who got the 30% chance of rain forecast for my area and just as the mower was engaged? What a shame😞??

I have not seen anything posted on Saturday results. It’s a two day event Compared to the past several Springs the early bite is solid. What I’m hearing is many anglers getting multi fish days. Better days can yield half dozen fish or more.

That is really cool. I'm thinkin 4ish years ago, I was fishing Pymy when the PFBC and an unknown (to me) club were stocking 10"+ fish. I want to say in the 10,000 range.
I remember the big hp motors running about, with totes being loaded from a hatchery truck at Jamestown Marina, then the big motors would take off for parts unknown. I was anchored just off shore from the old marina and some doorknob nearly ran over me with a sailboat he was taking to the dock for removal.
Sounds like the musky stocking was a great success and gooder for me the doorknob in the sailboat wasn't. That would have left a mark.
Thanks for the update.
Oh yeah.... out came the sun and the grass is done. 😞for a day or two.

Skipped on mowing grass this afternoon and went fishing. Traffic was low, but the fish weren't there. Should have mowed the grass....

Anz, thanks for the results. I don't know if it's the norm in a contest but the top anglers comin in with multiple fish is darned cool.
Most anglers be feeling lucky just to hook a musky.
Good times & tight lines.

It was three biggest fish per team. the 2nd place team caught 13 but could only enter their 3 longest fish.
It use to be pym tournament they would have to pull a name from a hat to find a winner because no fish were caught.
There is good things happening for the musky fishing in PA. This is a direct result from the changes in the whole process the PAFC stock the fish.

Great results in a few years too. I hope the toothy critters munch the heck out of and better control the shad over population.
🤔 Hmmm, might Pymatuning be the home of a new state musky record?

...... did not look much better today (5/24) Espeyville did have a few parking spots available around 12:40 ish. pm. Boats coming and going during the hour I spent there. Then it was off to Snodgrass where plenty of parking was available.. in lot 2 parking area. Boats comin and a goin there too. Plenty of activity too, with people enjoying picnics and fishing along the shore lines at both locales. pssst no spot burning, so keep this under your hat..... nobody was wearin a mask. Which is good cause it's kinda spooky not seeing the face of someone approaching you... dontcha y'all think? 🎣Good times & tight lines.🎣

I was at mosquito lake in Ohio and it was packed too. Me and one other person were the only two with masks on. Social distancing was a thing of the past. I’m in that age bracket that still has to be careful.

Chauncy how was the fishing? Being unlimited HP, was the lake being churned up?

Yes it is pretty churned up from all the trollers. The crappie bite is good there now. It’s closer to me than Pymatuning so I go there. Pymy has been a madhouse the last few times I was there. Both north and south ends. Parking everywhere is tough these days unless you get where you’re going at sun up. Too hot for me today. I’m still isolating myself.
