Remanhawk that's a cool story, glad you could get your picture to upload.  Thanks for taking the time, enjoyed the read.

Breaking my PB Erie Lake Trout twice in a day with a 23 pounder followed by a 24. Some additional cool fish included landing* my first Atlantic Salmon 1,000 miles northwest in the St. Mary’s River, setting my new PB Steelhead with an 11-12lb out of an Erie trib, and setting my new PB Brownie at 15lb out of a Lake O trib. Tons of other stuff too, 2017 was by far my best year of angling yet and I’m grateful for every fish I had the fortune to encounter.

Sounds like an epic year! I landed 1 brown, hooked a king, and landed plenty of steelhead on Erie Tribs during 2017. Year was the best I've ever experienced

fishing N. pier and caught a big sheephead.  got off my chair to get it of the hook and a mink came from one off the nooks on the pier and stole it off my pole and carried it to his family. i am talking a 20 incher. got a nice pic but forum wants a URL its on my harddrive. figured it out

That looks more like a big white bass. Mink won't even eat those sheepshead

Ice out crappie fishing i had a day between my gf and best friend and myself we landed well over 3-4 hundred fish. Got a 36 inch ski at night that was a blast. And last but not least on an early september trip at night to the tribs wasnt fishing good . Switched to a black marabou jig and a bobber . In 8 casts i caught 8 chromers last one broke my hook. Didn't get a bite after that . Stupid work. Started working construction in june and went from being a 40hr a week overnight worker to a 60-70 hr a week worker right up until deer season. Didnt exactly get to fish near as much as id like to at that point

Use nickel cadmium hooks on all your jigs if you can find them....they will never break or bend like the cheap ones do on big or stronger fish .

Definitely a White Bass. Small Drum taste better than Perch in my experience. Grilled a couple 18-20” last summer and the flavor was excellent.

Any recommendations on brands, Captain? I’m still searching for a good jighead myself. Seems like you pretty much have to pour your own if you want even half-decent quality. All the store bought ones are dull out of the package and/or bend easily.

least favorite memory?   hmmmm?   spring wading with captain hook and him sneaking up behind me in the dark and pushing me in.  or something like that.  LOL

I'm almost pretty positive it was him but, I can be certain, I don't know for sure. It sounds like something he would do, I might say, if I knew him.

Good times and tight lines.

Yea a friend had to pour them years ago Dive....was well worth it for the stronger fish. I almost think the older mini foo's were nickel cads...too small for bigger fish though.

Never sneak into the Captain's fishing holes even in the dark they are booby trapped  ! ...lol

Don't have any fond memories of fishing last year. For one reason or another I just didn't get out much and fish. Don't recall anything of interest worth posting. Nice to follow long here and read about other peoples stories. I guess the word for that would be "vicariously."

How did the person who invented the first clock know what time it was?
