I'm home after 3 days chasing Lakers. Fishing was fantastic !! Weather was Fantastic !! Friendship was fantastic
!! Catching, was not to be.
Wouldn't change it for anything.
I seen fish, I shared good Times and the weather treated us kind.

Clint, there are still trucks driving on the ice up here over 200fow. I think my life is safe from falling in , at least for now .
In about 2 weeks, my butt may get wet getting off . Then I'm done for season

I empathize with that HT.  This is perhaps the longest stretch I haven't fished in as long as my memory. I've been on a number of mountains looking down on the lake with snowshoes and crampons, but not on it. First fishing for me this year may be at Lees Ferry on the Colorado after we spend a week down in the wilderness section of the G.C. first week of April.   I'm getting the urge, but may not pull the trigger on a spring trip to the SR. Hope you have one of those little poles  in an extreme bendo soon. If not, you're happy anyway- all that counts.  Best of luck....

Hear you Rich, I would have driven up north if not for the all day High School BBall binge I am watching today and tomorrow . Even up there is getting sketchy. I will hit the river next Sunday or Monday High water or not

My day to work was nothing like a vacation. An hr in I was ready to leave. No real report I can muster tonight, only the very few pictures I took.
After reviewing and work today. I'm not done yet. A big tournament is happening where I was this week so I'm recharging at home for next week.

I go to work to do what I have to get done. When I'm away, the mice ( management) play. Big ideas , little results for my labor efforts. After almost 30 years, it' gets old because the workforce is always the staple with little agenda except providing for their family and next weekend adventures instead of the next promotion in another country.
It's tough to right a ship when the captain's keep changing direction of the crew.

Nope didn't take long for me to miss the ice. A week off will help or hurt and I get lazy.

That's a bummer. I don't want to start mowing grass and clearing the pool yet.
There is a big tournament happening on the ice at schroon lake this weekend. Draws many people, near and far. I don't like crowds and don't participate but have seen some very interesting things from there.

This is going to be my week off as I been ice fishing every week since Dec 15th. As in the past, I never bag the season until at least March 15 when pike closes or after if the trout waters remain good.
Tell those flowers, it's not spring yet !!

Well , I had my extension ladder and gear all packed to go this morning but got a call about midnight my friends daughter in law was in an accident so he wasn't going to make the trip. Didn't want do it solo so unexpectedly, my season is over
