Wally - Hope you are doing better, and this new year will bring a few more outings to you!  Many on here (including this guy) have been known to make irrelevant posts.  Always good chatting with guys that share a common passion though.  Even if you don't agree on a few things.  Most likely, pretty similar on most other things though.  What guy on here doesn't still get a chuckle at a well timed fart?

Boards need a constant infusion of new members to survive.  I personally think the board got a little hostile and pushed new guys away.  Bit$*hing at guys for spot burning was over the top.  Do you really think there are spots on the Tribs that are secret after this many years.

Yeah of course there aren’t “secret spots” no more the whole tributary system has maps available online and eleventy thousand duuds with cameras on their dome to show all the world they can catch stekheds.
BUT, just because it’s available DOES NOT mean I gotta blab about it with gps coordinates and detailed directions. There’s still a bit of work involved in finding fish and learning water. I personally am very willing to help people privately but not the lurkers who want to be spoon fed. And if it means a couple snowflakes who can’t handle the pitfalls of the inturdnet get chased away because they got loose lipped and then harassed about it I’m ok with that.
