warm water

This past week the PF&BC canceled the Trout stocking for Mammoth & Indian lakes due to warm water (73%) they did stock Keystone & Northmoreland & are scheduled to stock Twin lakes if the water cools a little by then, which I doubt. Oh well the LMB are hitting top-waters fine. I would think that they are going to reschedule the missed stockings.   sam

Anyone know if that may have been the case for Raccoon State Park ?
Schedule said Oct 4, but a friend went out today and said it was dead other than some small gills and a couple small Crappie.
He called the park office and she said they did, but I'm thinking she was just reading the schedule.
    Thanks !

gizmo, go to the fish comm.. web site & check the schedule, they will tell you if it was canceled. Also the lakes that did get stocked did not fish well according to my bud that was there. Usually you will see a lot of trout porposing, but not hitting well for a few days til they adjust,if they do.  sam

    Thanks Sam.
No postponements. I'll let him know. Guess I should have gone with him. (Lol.... I could give BTDT a run for his $$)

so they did stock Raccoon? Not much of a trout fisherman but was thinking about going Thursday evening but didn't. They do Brady's Run in December, hopefully we get some decent ice this year

gizmos, They stocked where? As of this afternoon the WCO told me personally that he did not stock Twin because of warm water. North Huntington Township did stock Indian Lake with Browns for the kids derby that they held Sat.   sam

Has anyone been to Northmoreland? I don't really fish there much, just curious if you're seeing a large die off of the stockers.
