There were people on the rocks last week when I stopped on my way to Malinda's to get a rod shipped for repair. Didn't see anyone walk the concrete down to the rocks but several guys came down for above to fish off the rocks.

Just got back from three days of fishing. Did not fish the Lower zone. Fished the top of Upper Fly yesterday afternoon and today to avoid sun. The former DaLa Lodge, is now called Little Alaska. Fully posted with $10.00 per day parking/access fee. $100 for season. Did not see anyone fishing the bank. All fishing was from boat launch side. Little Alaska store and cleaning station were functional.

Yup the owners coined that title on their property on 13 just below the little trout pond falls. They put a street sign up that says "little alaska"

I'm pretty sure the Dec got together with Tailwater and screened off the culvert that goes under pulaski st. Keeping the fish from getting to the falls. Big Bear would probably know that one best

The guys I talked to who were putting it in a couple years ago said it was the town, but I wouldn't be suprised to find it was the tailhook...its on happys side of the bridge, but on the right of way for the road.

So I used what I guess was the new access as there was nothing at all marked, cut or anything. There were guys fishing on the rocks. The new shop was not open. There are fish everywhere in the river. I hooked what I believe was a small Steelie and a Coho all others were a byproduct of the conditions .

It was a little tough finding it at dawn; just a little opening in the roadside weeds by a pile of sand. It then has a few herd trails and one main trampled one. The only person I saw on the wall behind the fence was Johnny, the one armed guy. I was wondering if he'd still have his spot. He was there when we walked out in late afternoon, spotting fish for guys near the bridge. I can get to the one very small spot I like to dead drift off the upper end of the rocks, but I can do without it , too.

I did the walk in from over the dirt pile about 30 yards past the house. I was pretty surprised at the trash right there on the access trail . It did not appear to be the usual fishing related stuff so I don't know what's up with that. While I walked up to the lzf wire I did not fish . Walked out and came back out on a split trail the was another 30 yards up the road. That trail was much more walking friendly, as in not walking through trash that could cause a tear in your boots or waders. Finally, as Jack said, there is an amazing amount of fish. The fishing for me was all positive in the surrounding conditions. It makes me want to return, even if I wasn't catching fish in which my bites were totally dependent on what they wanted. I spent many times changing until a certain color lit up and when it did there was no mistake about a take and where the hook was :) The greatest feeling of salmon fishing is a big jerk of the rod because they grab and turn , a hook set and a huge head boil to the surface then take off for the lake .. I met some kind people but I was basically fishing solo , that's the only drawback to my trip. I'd prefer to share more time with friends and family. Have fun folks and maybe see some next season. I'm in a tree until December
