The best bow I ever owned or shot was an Oregon. What a shame that company went under. I then went through a few High Country's which were decent. I shoot a Parker Phoenix right now and it is a nice shooter. My next one will likely be a Bow Tech.

Love my Mathews Outback . Ultra smooth . quiet , no recoil the design was revolutionary . Bowtech now offers the same design ; I have also heard great things about them. Both are pricey though. Prior to that Hoyt.

Right now a Mathews FX. Have been looking at a new Bow Tech Allegiance. But kinda pricey.$700.

I still shoot fingers (I keep telling myself I will go to a release when my shooting goes down hill, but I keep shooting good)so I can't bring my self to buy a new bow. I have been shooting the same one since '89 Hoyt Rocket 91#. I don't put the weight to brag, but the bow has held together shooting that poundage for over 7 years (was high 70's before we modified it) . I like the BowTechs, but would have a hard time buying anything other than a Hoyt after the way mine has performed.
Better too far back, than too far forward.

Ross CR 334. Not a speed merchant, but forgiving and quiet. Unfortunately, Ross doesn't make em anymore. I hear good things about the Cardiac. Bows are too expensive for me to be buying a new one except every ten years or so, when the technology really changes.

At this point, my favorite bow would be which ever I shoot. I currently shoot a mathews SB XT. Bought for no other reason than it was one of the two left handed I got to shoot. The other was the Drenilan, which I didn't care for. Sure would have like to shot a Ross or a Diamond. I like a bit heavier bows. Once I get into the 3 lb, I find myself not as steady. I know one thing, today's bows are worlds apart from the one I shot just two years ago.

I shoot a bowtech tomcat, and it does fine. It has killed every deer I shot with it in the 2 or 3 years i've owned it. I dont think you can ask for much more. I am considering buying a diamond black ice soon.....depending on how well the real estate market treats me in the near future Theres so many good bows made today. I havent shot a new one in the past 3 years that I didnt like.

I am a firm believer in my Darton Maverick. I've had a couple of other bows since I bought my Maverick about 7 years ago, but nothing stacks up to it.
