Any help on repairing small leaks in boots.

Anybody have any luck repairing leaking boots ? Got a pair of light denier nylon boots, leaking right where the top rubber boot meets the denier material. Looks like a few small pinhole defects in material on inside of the one boot. There out of warranty from Cabala's even though they have not been abused or used a lot. I tried a silicon sealant that actually worked a trip or two then just peeled off. Not going to tie up money in SG-20 adhesives these are not expensive boots and I do have several other backup pairs. I think they can be fixed just don't know what's the best bet.
Any ideas ?

Repaired a hole in my boots this spring with aquaseal. Was starting to get a light leak in the seams around the **** too, so I covered them as well. Has held up very well so far. Bought it from fishusa for a few bucks

I don't know what's good for repairing boots but I tried on the pair of chest waders I bought two years ago that still have the tags and plastic on them.  I stored them in my basement and that must not have been a good thing to do,  the darned things shrunk right around the middle.   What's up with that?

I tore my breathable waders a few years back, as a quick fix I used the hot glue stick that comes with the Berkley rod tip repair kits to fix it...
Applied it to both inside and outside of the tear...been holding good for about 4 years now!

Shoe goo did good with straight rubber boot repairs for me.  Not sure how it would adhere to the joint between the nylon and rubber.
To double up on the repair, you might want to use a small amount of the aquaseal or shoe goo, let it cure, and then add a piece of good gorilla tape over it.
It works well on my pool cover when I want to stretch it out for another winter before pitching it.  As long as I cleaned the cover real well and wiped it down with alcohol, the gorilla tape adhered nicely and waterproofed the pool cover pin holes.

Goop brand "Shoe Goo" works great.
I used it on my boots and waders and it holds well. Walmart has it in their shoe section...about $5

I've used contact cement with a patch with ok results. Or sometimes have more than enough other waders & could use a pair ov slip-ons more than another big pair ov big clumpywaders taking up space & cut off at the boot line.

I have used aqua seal and shoe goo they both work but aqua seal is better.
I walk so much in waders they only last a year no matter what brand I try.
TODAY I get a new pair via UPS I can not wait I have spent a dozen nights wading for eyes in leaky waders had enough.

Tried the Aqua Seal and so far it's leak free. Put some on inside and outside both and boots are good so far. Had to order it from the Wal-Mart site and pick up, none on shelves at our local store.........thanks for inputs.

Thanks for the update Captain, nice to hear you were successful with your repairs.

I'm still looking for a "waist stretcher" for chest waders.  My waders seemed to have shrunk while stored in my mancave, probably all this heat and high humidity.

Missed ya at Carini's yesterday, and to think, I was buying!

Ahh BTDT your generosity is overwhelming ! LOL  .... I'm still enjoying all that Cajun Deep fried Walleye from Spring fishing up at Pymy this year. I'll admit the fish freezer is finally getting low. Going to grab my gear soon as these days get a little more tolerable to enjoy.

Can't go wrong at Carini's in Transfer that's for sure !

No, Rich all are independently owned and operated. Same franchise name. Transfer, Greenville and Jamestown. All are good places to eat but Transfer is the best in my book. Best fish dinners along with other great menu choices !   A+

If you need some lettuce try the bread bowl steak salad from transfer carinis. It's my go to work lunch when I need to order. Fries, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, and plenty of steak. The steak wedge isn't bad either I must add.

Transfer is the one we frequent the most , it's also closer. Weds. and Fri.s are the fish special days, but the whole menu is killer. Homemade bread served warm too !

BTDT's mouth is watering as we talk !
