Fishing was excellent this week
The church hole was red hot this past week. Wednesday was coho day and I also caught an Atlantic. Thursday the cohos were mostly gone and replaced by kings and a few steelhead. Friday and Saturday even more steelhead showed up but the king numbers dropped. I had double digit hookups every day. I also caught the Pulaski grand slam: coho, king, atlantic, brown trout and steelhead. It was a great week of fishing. I was at the Altmar Hotel every day around 3pm. They have tasty wings.
The fish levels seem to drop Wednesday (sensational) through Saturday (pretty average). The salmon run might just be over. The DSR is reporting good numbers of steelies so the next couple weeks should be good. Black stone flies, white sucker spawn and black woolly buggers worked well.
