Sam, the only pictures i've seen are on Dave Lafebres facebook page. He caught some nice crappies, gills, and perch last week.

Thanks Ken, Now all I can think of is a nice Bluegill Chowder on this brutal windy day. I was waiting for some Perch picts from Ed or Slabdaddy also. sam

nice little pile there^^^^ Were you out off chestnut? About what time of day was the bite the best?
I'm headed out tomorrow for the first time this year any info would save me some time looking around for the fish.

I made it out today with a buddy. We got around 40 if I had to guess with the biggest around 11". Final count yet to occur.
Off chestnut way out in the middle. They would only hit live minnows off the bottom. If the minnow was dead they wouldn't touch it unless it was laying on the bottom(caught quite a few this way).
We had a heck of a time getting off the ice. There must have been some ice build up around my skis or the base of the shanty. It was like dragging an anchor. It took over an hour with lots of breaks.

I was off of liberty park. Ice was 8-10" with 6" of snow in most spots. Most came on small jigs with maggots , few on emeralds deadsticked.

Did you hit Saginaw bay? I'm so jealous. Nice catch by the way.
If I had a sled or a wheeler, I'd spend a week down there. Definitely on my hit list.
Walleye through the ice is would be so awesome. I should at least take a trip to pymie sometime.

No, never been to Saginaw. We fish near Port Clinton. Catawba and Crane Creek area.

We were just over 4 miles out but guys catch fish 1.5-2 miles out.
