trout run destroyed

was there today and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!
A big muddy parking lot, all the charm and memories gone.
I can't believe how ugly and worthless the property looks. good job fairview.. ruined one of the last gems on the lake erie shoreline.

    Plenty of gems left on the shoreline.  You just have to get away from the crowds and find them.

    I've never fished TR, but was there once a few years ago in late August just to take a peek.
     
    Forgive me, but from the pics I've seen of guys lined up shoulder to shoulder, waist high in the lake, chucking all manner of stuff just didn't seem "charming" to me.
     
    The lovely piece of bent and rusty chain link fence across the creek, the hard concrete walls that lined the  stagnent pool, in what I beleive is called the "Pig Pin" just didn't have that "gem" quality look  to me.
     
    Maybe it's just me

    No complaining until the project has been completed.  Then we may offer our opinions on the final product.  WIP .... be patient.
     
    It’s like remodeling your house.  Right now, this project is in the messy stage of remodeling.  Just wait until we lay the carpet and hang the pictures on the wall.  Then we can say "The color of the wall doesn’t really match the furniture.  We should paint the room a different color."

    Look at this way, the $4000+ the fairview residents pay in taxs just bought you tourists a nice place to park and drag your fish through.
     
    For the record, trout run ws a "gem", I feel sorry for anyone who never realized it.

    HOW BIG IS THE PARKING LOT. WE USED TO PARK AND STAY A COUPLE WEEKS DOWN AT TED FLOWERS PLACE. I USED TO LOVE FISHING IN THE MERINA DOWN THERE. RONNY USED TO GET HUGE BROWNS AND SALMON IN THERE.I WAS SAD WHEN THEY CLOSED IT DOWN

    They are putting in parking for 100+ cars, as well as other improvements. The plans can be viewed at the Fairview Twp. building.
