As of last weekend the Espyville ramp was still usable (Pulled my pontoon out there), and from what I have been told, if Espyville is usable, Orchard should be too.

Last Sunday 10/9 I barely got my 20' pontoon boat out of the Espyville launch. My son used the winch while I ran the motor to get it on the trailer. I was hoping to get out for the Fall bite but probably just get it winterized and wait for next year.

No problem getting my 17 ft in and out of Jamestown launch Wednesday. Took home eight big crappies. Caught and released twenty combined crappie, perch, and gills.

Thanks for the update on launch conditions fellas. Was planning a trip however my wife's car broke down. Hard to leave her without wheels. Next week hopefully.

Pymy was calm as glass last evening , nice Fall weather so far. Did land one 18" Chanel Cat on a jig, no Walleye. Weeds are still up but look brown, maybe going to sleep slowly like the trees.

Mopar , I got to admit Pymy is one nice place to visit whether fishing , camping, or just looking !

It 's almost timeless too , very little changes over many years.
Like going back in time for me !
A few more from Pymy last night.................

Fish the points from shore that you fish from the boat. If you can get to them.

Hey Marco, the point In Jamestown park across from the stone building was my favorite spot in the old days. Cast out big creek chubs and fish a night. From the point move to your right towards the dam and cast Raps retrieve slow. I caught a 12 and 13 lb fish off the point many years ago in early November. Don't know if you know but I had emergency open heart surgery on Oct 7 so I'm ----ed for a while. I hope to be in my ground blind in Ohio in mid November but I think Pa. is a wash. I'm doing great and expect to be better than ever. No heart damage just 4 blocked arteries. My son killed dandy 8 pts with a 23 in spread in my spot.lol Good luck hunting and fishing. Fred

Big Tuna glad your on recovery road. That has to be scary stuff to go through.

The only bad thing now with the water level down that spot has excessive weeds close to shore, plus all that construction on the weir probably has that area spooked up a little. They got about half that stone weir torn apart . Got pumps running their too plus the current goes down to the overflow. Just kind of messed up now......but who knows.

Scary not the word, actually it happened to fast to worry. ER Wednesday test Thursday on the table Friday morning at 7am off at 1:30 PM.  Three weeks today. I'm going frigging crazy in this house. No hunting,no fishing. Boring. Actually I'm feeling pretty good, just a lot of chest, back, and neck pain from the surgery, they kind of butterfly your chest open, and I'm stubborn about taking pain killers I took 2 in three weeks. Catch some eyes Brock.

Big Tuna - Good to hear no damage to the heart.  My dad had a similar scare a few years ago.  He's as good as new after they pulled his ribs open.  Take it easy for a few months, and add some reports come spring time!!!  Wishing you a full and fast recovery!

Causeway launch is good.  Lake doesn't seem too low.
