4/4 to 4/6

Well what a weekend of weather- wind, snow, ice, and rain oh and did I mention WIND!  Fished a few tribs on Friday and lets just say off to the SR we went.  Friday pm went 4 for 10, Saturday (all day)- zero not even a bite; fish seemed to shut down for me anyway, and Sunday am 1 for 3 the bite didn't seem good in fact I didn't see a lot of people hooking up around me all three days but I stayed away from the upper river as Altmar-Tressels seemed crazy.  A good bit of guideboats were seen especially on the weekend.  The DSR fee is looking better each day, I could not get over the number of fishermen.  Luckily I did not deal with any jerks like the other report indicated.

Problem with the DSR this time of year is water.   1200 at the dam 1600 at Pineville and probably 1800 plus down there, plus the color must change too.   I don't fish down there si I do not know if there are many good high water spots.   I am a wuss anything over 1k or so I like to stick to the upper river, though now that the snow is gone there may be a few other spot I could try.  Your right,Wednesday it was ON FIRE, Sunday I had to work very hard for the fish I got.
