Casting for walleye from shore in lake erie at night

me and my dad are looking to get into casting for walleye from shore since we don't have a boat. any tips or just anything in general would be helpful!! I hope to get some responses!!

    I use a f18 rapala  in trout color or silver and black has been the best don't use but a hat lite and keep the lite off the water you will only be fishin in 6-8 feet of water and go as soon as it opens it only last till june at best

     The best knowledge that I can pass on to you Noah62 is to be aware that the law has changed a number of years ago. Just be extremely careful when you go. I know you don't want to be facing stiff fines for possession out of season.
