More proof I can't take a pic to save my life/ Got too hot to rustbow fish this afternoon but before I quit. That solid white blob in the middle is a fish. Tried to get the sun to go behind me but it wouldn't go along with the program.

There was a mix of fresh and old fish yesterday. 70=30 holdovers to fresh but a real start to a run I think. The gauge looks like it may be at a better fishable condition today. Course I won't fish again til maybe an hour Mon.

I likes my steelheads a lot, but No Unnecessary Travel means no fishing. About 8" on the ground and its still coming about an inch an hour plus blowing to beat the band. May try in the balmy weather we're supposed to have by Friday PM, and I'll join the amateurs Saturday. L13

I too may try a day or 2 next week. I gotta start taking some pics like that TB. I can get most fish almost into the net, but the 10 foot leader and netting the fish by my self do not mix and that's when the leader breaks or the hook pops. I may try the longer handled net next time to see if that is easier.

I've been trying for some more action type shots. My fish in shallow water on its side waiting to be unhooked were getting trite Getting the fish to raise and stay on the surface while lining up and snapping is taking some figuring out. Lots of shots of water and little else.

Well I am going for my nerve block tomorrow, nothing to eat or drink after midnight and the procedure is going to be at 230. Gonna get grumpy at around lunch for sure, especially with nothing to drink. I will have to take it easy on Saturday, but fishing on Sunday for perch is looking good. Some mid week river time looking good too.

Well what a shatty day with a better ending. Have not had to fast like that for a long time. Last ate a piece of toast and drank a glass of water at 0500 and by noon I was having trouble concentrating lost my balance a few times and was starting to get a monster headache. By 1300 headache was so bad I could barely walk. Nurse had a heck of a time getting the needle started due to the dehydration. Staff at this place was great and once the IV started I was feeling a bit better. They even had a massage therapist give you a massage before the procedure to help calm your nerves. I was put on a fentanyl drip and it was GOOOOOOD. The procedure was quick and the MD was good and it was PAINLESS. Let me tell you. The results of the epidural were almost instantaneous. By the time I was out of my daze the nurse asked me how my arm was................. almost perfect, no pain for the first time in years. Got sick to my stomach on the way home and took an nap and am now feeling better. We will see how it lasts. Light duty tomorrow and then see how it reacts to the hand auger on Sunday.

Clint, Go with someone else and have them drill the holes! You have a great excuse! 2B, I may get over there, but have a lot of prep for Chitown, and have to go into work to use the interweb there for a while. May see you, but I am very tired, and I've got a very full 3 days coming up, if the predicted weather holds and they can actually get a plane into the air on Monday. So it may be land of nod til 8 and then a JB Heap for breakfast, and fish later in the day when I get it all done. Good luck if you go. L13

Nada dis morning. Maybe a tail bump but nothing feeling fishy. Only got to put in about 45 minutes, but that is usually enough time to find something if they're running.

Well my arm hurts a bit today, but not bad. They said it could take a few days to kick in good. Congratulations to the Westhill Warriors as they CRUSHED the Olean Huskies 93 55 in the NYS Public School Championship. Ryan Roland had 32 in the first half and ended with 41, Tyler Reynolds ended with 38. Good luck in the Federation tourney next weekend in Albany against Brooklyn community. This tourney is where the Public school champ gets a bye into the Private/prep school tourney semi final round. The Federation schools have a different tourney as they recruit players from all over the country and it is usually a higher level of competition. It is very rare for a public school to win the Overall championship

The only pic that came out worth posting. Also one of the two bright fish I saw today. I lost the other before I cou ld get the brownie out of my pocket. Afine 10 or 11 pound henfish. I had 6 0r 8 fish on landing 3 from a little after 11 till 3:30ish. Saw maybe another dozen or a few more hooked and heard the morning was outstanding till around 8 when it slowed way down.

48 minutes ago in Albany, NY · Congrats to Westhill Warriors from section 3. They beat Regis 65 to 46. They finish the season undefeated and are the overall NY state champs. That includes public, private, parochial and NY city schools. Pretty good for a public school. Sorry to say for everyone in our league next year that the whole team minus 1 are juniors so they will be stronger than ever next season

Certainly, when Chartist and the other elites and nobles start occupying the "prime" water, and we are delegated to whatever scraps are left, I will rope every steelhead I catch, and start working to have the limit raised back to three. I, like the west end charter boat captains, never harvest steelhead! Right! Planning to plant a garden again, and the nitrogens be good for the soil! Can use the eggs, too, to harvest even more ironheads. L13
