    Nice pics.
Maybe I missed a few along the way, but seems as though it's been awhile.

Out having some fun. Enjoyable the last couple weeks. Good friends, nice weather, a few fish.

Bob & his 4 pinner friends. Fishing a run with enough room for 2 guys to fish it comfortably. Along come these toolbags drifting their junk down in front of me cutting off my drift. Typical pinner crap. Oh well, had the run for an hour or so, peace & quiet for a little while. Caught a few. Times being what they are, can't ask for much more.

All too many people these days  think pinning is the be all end all for Erie "steelbow" fishing. It aint all about numbers! It's about fishing them, catching them on your terms. Rather catch a few a day on flies than 20 or 30 on friggin spawn bags. But to each his own, I guess.

People on here who post about catching big numbers of fish in a day/week imo are just tooting their own horns. Does anyone really give a crap. Been there done that years ago. Not a big deal. Not at all hard to do. Much rather fish flies for smaller numbers of fish, fishing them the way I enjoy it most.

it would not be steelhead season without glen, bob and dano (as well as deetz and bings) sharing pics,  food and beverages streamside.  so glad you guys show up, without drama and controversy, to show us what fishing really should be.  no numbers, no 'how many kept', no closed sections of stream.....just fishing and fellowship.  kudos, gentlemen.

    Well said!

Thanks for sharing the pics glen...   some great memories there!

Finally some pics from Glen and Bob. This has been the one part of steelhead fishing I have missed.

Living a good ways from Erie, I don't get up anywhere near as much as I'd like.  I love posts like this with pics of the fishing; never get tired of seeing them.  At least makes me feel like I'm there.  Thanks, Glen.
And Plum Bob, I couldn't agree more.

Wishfishin, thanks for the nice comment. We have fished the Erie tribs  for over 30 yrs. Personally, cant recall ever carrying a camera while fishing the tribs. Sure glad Glen does. Great to see the pics once in a while. Have always enjoyed seeing Glen's, Dano's, Bing's, Swinger's pics  & the ones posted by other members as well.

As far as ranting about pinners goes, not really biased against pinning or whatever method one chooses to fish. If they respect my space I respect theirs. These guy's didn't. We're fortunate to live close to the fishing, 25 min. to an hour from 8 different tribs. Lucky to be able to fish every day if we choose. Many falls this is exactly what we did. Now with age, aches & pains 3 or 4 days a week is enough.

Not a bad idea Mikastorm. Only problem is it would take me a 1/2 hr to re-rig my little thingamabobber, shotted leader & another 10 min. to tie on my fly. :-)

Get a permit to carry. When the pinner drifts his float in front of you blow it out of the water, this method saves tangles and such and expresses your feelings to his disregard for your space!

Pafisher, I know people that carry handguns on the tribs. Don't think for a minute I wouldn't  have liked to have blown their bobbers out of the water. I'm not confrontational and would much rather let something like this slide rather than start a "discussion" on stream etiquette. Might have a stroke or heart attack or something. Around here, don't think it's a good idea to pull a gun on the creeks. Could very easily end up spending a couple days in jail.

Coldfront, you have a great point of view regarding this fishing. Life is too short to let crap like this get under your skin. It's supposed to be fun! To me, it still is or I wouldn't be doing it. You're absolutely right. Confrontations, arguing, change exactly nothing. The pics are really nice & fishing with good friends is really what it should be all about.

Bob,that was just in jest....sort of as there are times I feel like doing it but it's just fishing and there's a lot of stream so I just move on.
