Landed 20 in 4 hours but all damage was done in first 2.5. Managed 3 browns into the mix including a huge 26" 11lb male. and a 20" 7 lb female that was more round then long (Football). All got the chance to swim again. Also saw 1 maybe the biggest steelhead I have ever seen in the hole -though it was and maybe was a king and a steelhead in transition with a black head and silverfish brown body. couldn't get either to play ball.

Probably just a typical 5-6lb steelhead, hooked in the azz...

Amazing. In the space of less than a week, we go from complaining about how there aren't enough fish around, and nobody catching, to praising how they're everywhere, and everyone is having double digit catching days. Glad to see it, and more rain coming tonight, should be another great run, headed up this weekend.

Did well last Saturday, had countless hookups, landed a lot of steelhead, and a big spawned out hen brown (this time, I didn't gill****it).

These clowns professing to have multiple hookups need to wake up. Ive fished Erie 6 times this year and yet to see anyone hook up more than 6-7 times. Dream on, beautiful dreamers. Oh...wait.....I caught 234 in 6 hours. Sorry.

Have you ever considered that you're the clown?  Stop people watching and counting peoples hook-ups and improve your game a bit, maniliketopeoplewatch!

lol, some people here are funny. I've caught over 100 fish within the past 4 weeks. Braggin'... Nah just sayin'.

learn how to catch them and you'll get more and more each time. As for the tail wagging, its easy to tell between a snagged fish and a legit hooked one. Maybe you just don't know?

I'd be willing to bet it was tail hooked or else you would have seen it.

Ive read and also know 2 guys who are pretty honest when it comes to fish stories that more than 5 kings have been caught in the tribs this year and numerous have been taken on charters this summer. Those Canadian and Michigan stocked are venturing South I guess.

There are absolutely no fish in any creeks in Erie, in fact the entire system is devoid of any aquatic life whatsoever, and there are thousands of anglers wasting their hard earned money on gas, and a hotel room, to come up and spend all day standing around not having a nibble.

Good enough?

KJH088 and H3Fisher, I agree with you both. I'll admit I got off on the wrong foot when I started posting on here, but I have found some great info, and we could all use a good laugh from time to time. As long as you're smart, and keep an "all in good fun" attitude, it's a great place to be a part of.

H3Fisher  - you miss my point, skid mark. Sometimes I do well and sometimes I don't. I bet I have been fishing when momma was still wiping snott off of you. What I AM saying is I rail against people who post "Oh they slayed them at the mouth of Elk  yesterday  morning  and I caught 56 in an hour" and I PERSONALLY was there and saw maybe 10 fish caught in 5 hours. Everyone runs into a pod of them once in a while no matter how good or bad you are at fishing. That aint the point. You clowns need to put down the juice boxes and READ a post before you open your pie hole and spout off. Nomsayin'?

20-30 fish days in the water we've had on the streams I've fished have been common for most guys I fish with the last month. I had a 2nd year guy land 22 last week. Because you aren't doing the same is a reflection of your spots and your techniques, not everyone that fishes Erie. You want tips? Ill give you my best jigs, flatfish lures, my cured eggs, and you still won't outfish me and thats the sane for countless guys on this board who put up huge numbers because they've put in the time and have the know how to catch these dumb fish in any situation. These fish are the angriest fish you'll see all year. If you can't catch enough that you feel others are simply lying about it, you're doing it wrong.
