tailhook lodge

did they get the fence up yet to protect their 1700 ft of private access?
any word on when they are opening?
when i was up they had the fence posts in, but the fence wasn't up
they were working on landscaping and several cars had parked in that lot where the old baseball field was....i assume they got nasty grams because they all had paper stuck under their windshield wipers when i went back out fishing
still looks like a school (or a jail) to me...nt even a nice sign to welcome those who would pay $190 a night to sleep there

wishin i was fishin

I heard 10/1 was the day they were going to start patrolling the access and not letting anyone through.  I am with you Kieth it still looks like  a bus could roll up and let kids get out.  Still no word what so ever on the grand opening.   I think they missed the proverbial boat this year.

I had caught wind that they applied for a grant for the site work and landscaping project. Shortly after I heard this; the sign for opening date was taken down and work seemed to have halted... I imagine the grant process hindered them from their opening date. I did see fishermen cut through one time I rolled through there.

Dimebrite2,  You must be living rent free inside my head.  I was wondering yesterday whether or not this company had applied for or received grant money for this project.  If so its just another kick in the tail for the tax payers.

This whole country is a kick in the tail for tax payers :)

No facts gerry, just hearsay... but it all makes sense based on their halt in progress for a while

Bear the fence is put up with little work left on it. Actually chatted with the fence guy yesterday for a bit. It would only be fair to not post some of the stuff talked about. They will be selling passes eventually for access, seems as if rooms will be 189... don't know price of passes yet though... that's all from me. Bear I'm gonna send ya a pm

i just had to laugh last time up, they had turned the old ball field into a parking lot, there were 10 cars of fishermen parked there with notes under the wiper ......
