9/8/13 Another prime section lost

To a tree.   A HUGE tree fell in pineville just down from the ramp goes 1/2 way across the river.

Got in a few loads of wood with my nephew and he wanted to go fishing when we were done.  A trip to All Seasons for some Cheap waders as  his  feet are growing.   He is up 3 sizes from last year, he is now size 12.  I got him boot foot ones as I had Korkers  will look into better ones when he stops growing.
Started at 230  got some lunch and ate it at the Ballpark for 20 minutes watching the circus.   Not one fish seen.  On to 2a and walked around a bit a few less folks, but not one fish seen.  On to Pineville saw a few fish milling around there no takers.

Just wanted to get the kid out for a bit.   I was bone tired after the wood this AM and now I can really feel it.   He was super excited to see the fish jumping  be we just cold not hit any.

Wow Clint that kinda takes a toll on some of the big run all over the river reports lately.
Hey _ bought those boot foot 63 dollar kinda light reinforced rubber felt bottoms at Pineville for my grandson two years ago and liked them so much picked up a pair for myself very early last year.
Always bought more pricey stuff with stocking foot and boots for myself in the past. Finding them a PITA to put on and take off lately.
Love the ease of boot foot and the easy fit those cheapies have.
Sooprized myself and wore them all  last season - NO issues.

These were Frogg Togg's for $65.   Thought I could wear them this winter with Neo and wool socks and stay a bit warmer too.

About the run don't know, wrong place wrong time?   Did not really fish hard as I was bone beat.   Walked around the ball park for a bit eating lunch.   Stayed fairly close to the RR  bridge at 2a walked down a bit.   Took a pretty good hike a Pineville, saw some around there.  On days like today with really no one around I really wish I could of casted some spoons.     I have hit them on spoons in the  Oswegatchie River and black river, pretty far up from the lake.
