Good eats

My family has a camp in Erie and we always frequent The Avonia Tavern. We are here now and they are busy but not lines out the door busy. We are over an hour and still waiting on our food. I think it's time for a change. Where is the good eats in Erie? Our camp is in Girard. Thanks for your info & help!

I could eat a "Dinosaur" burger from Girard Dinor, right now.

A beast of a burger served open-face on rye toast with mushrooms onions,  hot salsa and swiss cheez.

White turkey outdoor dinor. Just over the Ohio border on rt. 5.  Little pricey though for someone who is looking for value. Don't know when it closes for winter though.

White Turkey rocks and the root beer floats and shredded turkey sandwiches are fantastic.

Lorie's Wildridge is another place to checkout on the west side. They smoke their own meats and have amazing breakfasts. It is in Fairview on Route 20 across the street from the new Super Walmart.

you can try pufferbelly's in Erie on French Street.  Nice place, good food, not too pricey but not a cheap meal either.  I haven't been at the Avonia in 2 yrs because we had poor service 2 trips in a row and not worth it in my opinion.  http://www.thepufferbelly.com/
