Not bad skip, not bad at all for a first time. I finished the burnt wings last night Ive got so much tying to do and so little time. I got down to the last burnt wing, started tying to primp it a little, and pulled one of the wings out and had to start over. Ill be sending the flies saturday morning. Im gonna do a march brown emerger of some type. I dont know that its gonna be parachute style because this really killed my grizzly and brown necks.

Fish will gobble them up Skip.  Good job!!  I also received GW's flies.  He's tied some high class stuff.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

I got a really goofy error when I sent a pm back, but it also said it sent successfully.   Let me know if you didn't get it and I'll try again.

Ill be sending them out in the morning jon, I expect you will have them prob monday or tuesday at the latest.

Due to lack of time and neck feathers I did a CDC Loopwing emerger where half the fly is the mayfly body and the other half is nymmph with a trailing shuck. Hope you guys arent ****ed but, if it makes you feel any better I had to go and buy CDC.

Who can honestly say they are ever happy with themselves, you always think somthing isnt good enough. I tied some stoneflys last night that looked awsome, and the more i sat and looked at them, the worse they looked. That wingcase isnt big enough... that wing case is too small, gee that abdomen should be wider.

I seriously dont doubt that Ive went through 3,000 hooks in the last three years since I started tying. PRACTICE!!!!

LOL
I went through the same thing during the last swap. And I think we had 18 participants. I never spent so much time tying a fly. I wanted every fly to be perfect and each one cloning the last. I ended up tying 24 and the sub par 6 ended up in my flybox.
I was going to get into this current swap but I'm low budget tying this year. I'm running out of all the stuff I really need and trying to squeeze everything I have just to get through this season. 14 and smaller hooks are at a premium. I'm in desperate need of Daichii 1100 #26.  Rooster necks are getting thin on the small feathers. I even sent my wading boots to the local shoemaker instead of buying a new pair.
What's  a poor fly tier to do?
Loopy, I don't want to hear you say.... " Start going to work instead of going fishing"

I have not received Skip's or Chris's.  A friend took some pics of the other for me, because my camera sucks for close ups, I'll get the pics up monday.  They need resized to fit the forum.

Got the flies today guys.  They are some 45 miles away so I may not get to them until the weekend.  I have pics of the ones from this past weekend, but forgot to take the disk to work.  I'm a slacker.    haha  I will not be able to take pics of Chris's/Skips.

I'll get them on here tomorrow and the flies out by Monday.

Sorry for any inconvinence.  I had them sent to a foreign address because I just moved.

A friend is picking Skip/Chris flies for me tonight.  We're fishing for a little up my way so I suspect I will have them out in the mail either tomorrow, or the next.

Skip, thanks for the boxes and to everyone for participating.

Now we gotta make a day to all fish dry flies.

Skip, he needs some dry fly action! Skip or anyone else, your more then welcome to come to central pa and fish with me anytime.

Hell drake is a sucker guide, and between him knowing what suckers like and my knowledge of the area, we can catch some FISH!!

The flies look great!  I may take another set of photos using a blue or another color as a background.  Green distorts the composition.
