Top Hooker
Set yoiur DVR's for 10pm June 2nd on animal planet. Cheer for Attila. Back in the fall of last year we spent 2 days with Attila, giving him a crash course on trout fishing. everything from a visit to the hatchery to tieing flies and throwing line. on day 2 we took Attila to the DSR for some salmon and steehead action, on the spinning rod and fly rod. also gave him some tips on the pin.
Attila is a professional match angler but I met him because he is a member of our C&R carp fishing team.

at least she wasn't shy and represented fishing.
got a kick outta the guys wearing neoprene, the nitwit with the giant cricket (weighted treble) and the striped bass guy who was arm pit deep and said he fishes slippery rooks..whoa..
looks like I might be able to stand maybe 1 episode..

Bob, Attila is a world class match angler, if your not familiar with match fishing it gives new meaning to long rod fishing. He's a good guy, not from that sleazy side of the eastern block. He is strictly C&R for all species. Here's a pic from our pre show training session. Well I didn't stay awake long enough to catch it but by the description I'm glad I didn't loose any sleep over it. At least I picked a winner even if the show appears to be a loser

Better then a self promoting show about stinky salmon running the river in low water and getting wacked and slashed. A show that makes false claims about a local economy's dependency on snaggers. just saying.

Watching and laughing. Got to give it up for the competitiveness of the players. Guy goes down injuring his leg so he scoots like a dog with his rod in his mouth to where he needs to get to fish instead of throwing in the towel. That said I don't care for competitive fishing myself so I guess the dumb set ups make it more interesting than a bass tourny or flyfishing comp. PS the guy pretending to know how to flyfish is hysterical. I think he learned to cast in the LFZ.
