5/13/13

I had today off and was not going to go.   Looked in the fridge and saw a container of 2 dozen sacs I tied a few months ago and said what the hey.    Fished the tall bridge from    1 till 3 had 1 fish one saw 4 others hooked.   The fish I hooked was bright.   One jump and it snapped me off.    There were tons of little 2 to 4 inch smolt everywhere  even jumping out of the water.   Also quite a few 4 to 6 inch fish jumping around too.

Probably my last steel trip this year.  Next update will be for perch

Thanks for the report Clint. I've been busy chasing the stripers in the Hudson so no spring steel trip for me. Glad to hear about the smolts, all that high water earlier had me worried the little guys would get wiped out.
