wilhelm info

have been over to this lake a number of times, but have never fished it.  i understand that there is a section where there are no motors allowed.  does this include electrics?  also, is the lake wadable?  i have seen really nice gills and crappies come out of it and would like to work the shoreline. years ago, i stopped at a bait shop called fergies.  remember that they had one heck of a selection.  are they still there and is it as good as it was?  any info will be appreciated.  thanks

    rap,
Fergies is still open and he still has a beautiful selection. Also very good with live bait. As far as the electric motors, I believe that it opened last year for them up in the stumps. You can call fergies to find out. He always helps me when I call for info.

Anywhere back in the stumps is a good bet.You just have to know how to read the structure. Use caution when wading cause the bottom is soft in most places. If you want to fish from shore try launch 3 cove by the causeway. Good for crappie this time of year. Also sheakleyville bridge area. This is where you can walk back into the stumps and possibly wade. I walk back every year to beat the crowd and do excellent on all panfish, especially big crappie. Hope this helps. Anymore questions let me know. Ill answer them when i get back from erie on sunday.
