wire divers and eyes?

So I'm adding a pair of wire divers and a pair of 3 & 5 colors too the rig. Its another 6 rods I gotta trip on now. Dont get me wrong I'm excited about the new combos.
So I was wondering if I could leave a pair of braid divers at home when I'm walleye fishing and use the wire divers instead. I know a lot of guys use a single wire set up for cranks, but havent heard much about the wire divers.

Thanks

Dave

Can't speak for the wire, but I take everything I have... every time I go...
If your braid lines are blowin' up and you left some at home you'll regret it. You might just have to buy a bigger boat with a cuddy...

Curiosity killed the cat, but for awhile I was a suspect.

I'm up to 22 trollng combos.
A cuddy is a little big for me to drag to port clinton and then to n.e. the next weekend. I walleye fish from march til Christmas. A big cuddy boat with an I/O wouldn't work for me.
I guess I will have to leave some rods at home.

    Dave,
Yes, last year I bought a reel off ebay that came with wire line on it, so I put a twilli tip on a dispy rod and gave it a shot for the season. I ran it most of the times that I was running dispys and didnt see a difference in catch rate between braid and wire. Most days it seemed like the wire rig outfished the braid rigs!!  With the cost of a wire rig I wouldnt say its a must have for walleye fishing, but it definitely doesn't hurt to run them.  I definitely will be grabbing a second wire combo for the spring...

When it comes time to use the wire divers you won't need the 3-colors.  Bench em!
