There's fishable ice right now on one of those.

Eaton is close but not ready yet give it a week or so. I'll check it again tomorrow but highly doubt I'll be doing any fishing.

I checked it yesterday.  The main lake is slushy/punky, some shallow areas are fishable if sight fishing in 3 or 4 feet of water is your thing...not me.

Forecast for the week is looking like an ice maker. Highs in the 20's, lows in the teens and single digits. Bring it on!

Yup...let's hope the snow doesn't pile up too much and allows the ice to form naturally, at least for awhile.  I predicted the second week in Jan. as the "go time" for most area lakes...looks like that will hold up, with a few of the usual early lakes ready this week.

Drove by Lake Pleasent this morning it's frozen over but looks like some slush on top

Buddy and I went and picked up a new clam 2 man at gander mtn today, and took a drive to eaton while we were up there.  Looked like lots of snow on top, and the edge was pretty slushy.
