Sounds like you guys missed the brunt of this storm. We are still getting hit with the mop in the mid Hudson Valley and have been since around five yesterday afternoon. Better rain than snow.

For sure better then snow. It seems like it has been raining here forever, well at least all week now and very steady. Most water I have seen in the criks in a long time. Mud season again ..

Was a fairly nice day today ,minus the wind , until I got home. Had just enough tome to run the mower over the leaves and now it is raining. Weather doe not look horrible for the weekend with 20% chance of showers and loos really nice for next week up to 70

I don't know exactly but my guess is we got 2-4 inches of rain. The ground is pretty soggy in these here parts.

Yea we been getting dumped on all day and still coming down. Big sloppy mess here. Gonna have to drain the pool cover. Things are looking better the next few days which will allow me to catch up outside. After that the house work will have to wait until spring ?

Ditto on the pool cover. Also time to start dealing with the leaves although there are still a lot on the limb.

Yup, we got lucky that the brunt of it missed us. The ground is super saturated... Would've been disgustingly sloppy (even though it already is) if the rain hit us hard. Something tells me the reservoir is higher than it was a week or two ago though

I was hoping that western Pa. got this dumping, Jack. Hope it improves for you. I'm pretty tired of playing in the mud trying to get concrete poured. No mas!

Started a little grey, but turned out nice until about 1500 or so. Got alot of stuff done. Picked up my new polarized prescription sunglasses. Got the alternator and drove around checking a few places. Stopped at the LFZ and there seemed to be minimal action there. Ellis was packed and in town there were alot of folks. Did not see any hookups in town except on guy reviving a steel and letting her go. Did see a few on the rope. Got the alternator on the truck and the put the plow on. After a year down it seemed to start and run well. Got the boat put away in storage at a friends and emptied all my potted plants except 2 that were still producing some peppers. As of right now there is heavy rains off and on and a few thunder boomers.

They're leaning towards lake effect Friday pm in to Saturday... Not incredibly cold temperatures though... Could be interesting... as the warmer an air mass is, the more moisture it can hold...

Steady pouring rain for a couple hours off the lake early this a.m. pattern ended up curling up to the north and east and is dumping on tug hill right now. After this past Saturday and now this I'll be shocked if we don't get bumped up to fall like flows. Beware of leaf hatch part two this weekend from bank wash down

Rain steady all day and still. Local streams look at normal flow, plenty of leaves on trees. Hope it dries out for a walk in the woods and sleep in a tent this weekend . Good luck to those that get out. Save a fish or two for me ,,,, someday ...

Lakers,.. Could be a repeat of mid 90's??? Early 90's were phenomenal for steelhead and each year they declined there was a proportional amount of more lakers present... I disliked them very much and we eventually referred to them as fakers... Often fighting like a stuffed boot in the current

Just got back from two days on the river, weather was perfect for not walking yesterday and pretty much perfect today except wind and leaf hatch. Many chrome moving through today, fished many places yesterday with moderate success in a couple. The majority of the fishers are from 2a down, where every narrow spot still has three or four vultures waiting for a fish to run through, or up in town, where the circus is on both above and below the 52 bridge, down to below the jail. Stayed at the place next to cannons that used to be Brenda's, nice guy , Mike, running it, and good value at three sawbucks a head. Guys staying there had taken a boat ride from Pineville to 2 with fair success, said the fish were all through the middle of the river. All the little bubbly spots have the potential to hold fish now, surprising numbers of fairly fresh salmon in a lot of the gravel spots, and a mix of trout (steel, browns and domestics) appearing on the redds periodically. I end up with a bright hen about 8 lbs yesterday and missed a couple of other pulls, also freed a snag and come up fouled to a brown about 5 lbs, male coho about 10 lbs, very bright still first thing this AM, a bright hen about 12 that was hooked under the mouth, so I broke her off on the beach and got her back in, and another explosive take, run and off that was also very bright. I'll let Two Bob tell his own tales of woe and victory. Not the greatest numbers on the bank but for action and interest about the best two day we've had in many years. And almost complete solitude except when the boats came through. L13

Thanks, Lucky. i know where I'll be walking to Friday, as your report told me it's a good bet where I wanted to go. Glad you guys had a good time and some good activity. Mike is pretty good, been nice to Nancy and I, as we've stayed there a number of times and a bunch last winter. Glad the prices dropped back, though!!!!! It was 50 during the circus. Hope I get to fish with you guys one of these years.
