Sounds like you guys are having a great time! You are more than welcome to camp with me, anytime, anywhere. Seeya when you get there. Jack, Wayne and I will have 'em pretty scoped out by then. Add Andy and Clint in to the mix and we should have it pretty wired. Wayne's going out tomorrow with his Dad, I wish I was going now!

56,000 steps is approximately 28 miles. I know I walked over 10 a day when I was there, but 28 in a day is a lot. I'd check the calibration, walk a couple of hundred while counting and see what the phone says. If it is 28, what a good way to get in shape for a backpack into Pharoah Lake or West Canada. And walking from the unemployment parking lot top UFZ will be a stroll for you!

Hot here in Pulaski. I think the fish are with you in Fl. Other than chubs and a few small mouths.

Can't get away from them. Close your eyes and you think you're fishing the Hudson. Now you got them out of the way, stop fooling around and find some bigger game. Stopped at the canal for an hour- got 2 on the switch rod. At least one was over 10. Got my drag all warmed up and broke in, now you gotta point me at some fish....

Fish the spots I mentioned the other day. There'll be redds in the tail, the diversion hole behind the tree and in the ditch.

Went to see my granny and they dropped the Oswego to like 350 and almost every fish up near the dam got ripped out of the water, was another real sheetshow. Brookfield at its best, 3k all week then down to a pizz trickle today.

That is what we watch at the falls on the Genny every day, as they divert most of the flow through the turbines. Was not a problem for the last 5 years or so as they were working on the plant, so all the water in the river went over the falls, but now that it is a trickle again, the reverse golf swing fishers are back in droves. Too far for an encon officer to walk, although they have had some luck with using binocs off the Driving Park bridge, and then intercepting the offenders when they come up the path. Of course, what is the point if the judge in the city throws out all the tickets, which has happened before.

And why is it too far for them to walk, do they not have to be fit enough to do the job??!!

In my area, we had a warden, now retired, that used to sit for hours in a place called Burger Den, while 50 yds. away people poached trout out of a stocked pond. He needed a shoehorn and some wd-40 to get behind the wheel. I think your neighbor is not in the usual mold, Clint.

So today , Thursday I think. It's another perfect weather day. Clouds and slight breeze. That 92 and sunny stuff was brutal. I will take clouds and 80 all day everyday . My legs and back are STILL hurting like heck from that 20 some walk and dance party on tues. barley could walk around Epcot yesterday and crashed early last night. Nice easy stroll today at some park , universal I believe then going to try and rest up for the House Of Blues late night party tonight . Sure hope this all pays off for when I'm chasing salmon around the river next week . I still have to work on the biceps though- lots of 12 oz curls might do the trick 😀

I think you would have to have walked the Maplewood path on the Genny, and then you would understand why they don't go down there. It is at least twice the vertical found at the Fridge, just as steep, a lot of loose shale camo'd by the falling leaves, and then 1/2 mile up to the snagging zone once they are down there, and visible to the offenders all the way up. No percentage in that, spot them from the bridge and nail 'em at the top of the hill. Or fill out a book on the east side right below the hydro plant. I'm not faulting them , Encon has tried to clean up that spot, but it is inner city.

I haven't gone down on that side of the river in many years, for that very fear. Things don't knit like they used to over 60, the sprain I got on the east side last year took 6 months to "completely" recover, and the smashed leg from 2 years ago almost ended my river fishing (and if my doctor had his way, I would not be doing this at all anymore, although he does admit that it is probably some of the best exercise I can get with my refusal to go to the gym.)

At least you didn't go in February when you would have been acclimated to the ice and snow. We did that and it went to 95, and I got knocked right over from it, ended up in the room, no mouse for me for a day, and miserable after that, two others in the party also got wacked big time by the heat and pressure changes on the plane.
