Finding someones deer stand?

I own 12 acres of land which i posted when i bought. have had it for 4 years now with out any problems. my number and address are on the signs for anyone who wants to cross it or hunt it. this year i find my posted signs ripped down and a tree stand right above the downed signs. i take a walk around to see what else is not right only to find one of my stands gone. also find a 4 wheeler path from who evers stand to my neighbors house.  and more signs pulled down (everywere they came onto my property). and half way between my place and my neghbors on the path low and behold there is my missing stand, screw in steps and even my bucket. i took my stand and left a note saying thank you , as they put a new piece of wood on it. yes i am positive this is my stand as it is a home made hanger stand given to me by my uncle many years ago. just wanting to know anyone thoughts.

Its not a boundary thing its a 17 year old kid doing what ever he wants. Hell he admitted it was my stand in the woods then once he and parents come over it was his stand all along and they want it back, LMAO ya right cold day in hell i'll give him back my stand. and as far as politically correct i have never been very good at that. what about the stand that was on my property would anyone have taken it or given it back if so?
 

Hope ya dont have a house or camper there with long periods of non use.  If ya do--put the trail cam on THAT.
    When I bought my house  up in Pulaski Ny on 10 acres I had it surveyed. I never posted it because I wasnt around enough to patrol it any how. Anyone could see when I was there or not and trespass at will.
     Figured if folks had been using it all the time no one else was there- well so be it- Dont mind walking around a bit myself on the unposted neighboring props. -Good for the goose----good for the Gander kinda thinking.
 I did go out and paint yellow bands on frequent trees all around my borders  in line  with the survey tapes and REmoved the 3 No signs along the road in front of the house. Figured a decent neighborly indicator for a part timer up there was in order.
 Point made by the paint though- this is my line-- If they trespass when I'm not there I dont care they arent in my way. Get the impression you arent at your place that much as all that stuff got done over time before your found it.
 That kid and his parents are there all the time and are clearly A##- H&*Es . Think ya got a real problem with that old  BS 'not myyyy kid-prove it".  You were correct in calling them on it.

I recently found 3 stands on property that I started leasing this season. When I asked the landowner if he had given anyone else permission  he no one but me had ever asked in the 20some yrs he owned it .  I returned to the spots only to find they had come in and cut down trees that were in their way of riding wheelers in .  I put posted signs with contact info prior to archery season  no calls   B4 heading out to hunt  one weekend stopped by dollar general and bought 3 windchimes. after my weekend of hunting I went to the infected areas and hung the chimes up by each stand with a posted sign under each one  still no calls but all 3 stands were gone when I went back to shotgun hunt .

We lease 150 acres about 3-4 minutes from my house, were battling neighbors now. They claim its there property so on and so on. They have multiple stands, and blinds on our property. Were getting the property surveyed, and sending them a certified letter with the property lines and asking them to please remove their belongings off of our property. If not, contact the PGC/PSP and have it dealt with from there.
 
Some people just don't care. They think everything belongs to them.

i would remove his stand and leave anote with number to claim the stand. if he gives you any crap, tell him to pick the stand up at the police station and take it there. posted property or not, with out the permision from the land owner, you are tresspassing.

seems as though this is never going to end. in the spring i had a chain saw stolen from my back yard. same property . never gave a thought about locking the stands when this happend as i was so mad about the saw. offered 2 kids a reward if it were to show up, with no luck. then all the stand stuff happens. i took their stand down. when the mother  came to get it i told her i didnt have it maybe who ever stole my saw had taken it and went in the house. the next day feeling bad i call and tell her come get her stand. she says i may have found your saw. when she brings it over she says "i had to pay $25 to get it from the kids that had it and if you want it you will have to pay me". ready to blow my top i told her let me see if its mine. yep it was back in the case and into my house it goes. gave her stand back and told her to leave and dont come back. she stands there insiting i give her $25. i told her give me the names of the people that had my saw and i would add her name to the police report and she could try to get her cash back. she would not. this explains to me why her kids rip my posted signs down , put there stand on my property and steel my stand. and wanna say my saw also.

I agree with akitadog, had the same on the property I hunt and told the land owner about the stand , he asked me to bring the stand to him and put a letter on the tree where the stand was, if he wanted his stand back to come see the land owner for it back then was told he did not have permision to be on the land and if seen on it again would be arrested, the dude did not ever come back.
