Last Saturday

2bob and I hit the stairs, unemployment back side, ace (too crowded!), pineville bridge, and back to stairs on Saturday. I had one on and off above stairs early, 2bob saw a net way down river same time, he saw one hooked in an hour in the unemployment, one hooked off the Pineville boat launch again in about an hour, and we watched two hooked in the long bridge hole while we were walking across to return to the stairs.  Despite Randy's reports, we saw no one having a HOT day, it was slow all over where we went. Hope it picks up a little for Clint and Dime and the others that get to get out a little during the week!

Lucky,  all the time I spent on the river there were large lulls over an hour ans sometimes more where next to nothing was hooked.   Then bingo,  there were multiple hook ups for a short time then back to a lull.   Is it fish moving through or just the bite turning on, don't know.

Friend of a friend said he went 2/5 at the long bridge.
I will be out Wednesday baring alot of rain and probably Friday too.  Trying to stay away from the weekends due to the crowds.  I have Thursday's and Fridays off  until Christmas  except next week.   Will hit it then too.

Slow, but maybe tolerable if there's open space. Thanks for the report 13.  I'm stuck with Fri.
I hope it isn't like Vet. day, but it just may be worse!  I'm wearing my walkin' waders.     I'll be looking for your report from Wed.  on T-day, Clint. Good luck if you go.

I may also get up Friday, hoped to stay through Saturday, but the weather is not looking good. It is one day at a time, but perhaps our paths will cross.

clint we have seen that happen 100s of times.
every time we changed locations it was with the understanding that the bite or a new pod would hit as we were walking away.
that said everywhere we went we fished the available water hard and well with little or nothing to show for it.
also very little going on for anyone in sight.
don't know if the cold front put them off the bite but a total of less than 10 hook ups for everyone in sight over a 6 hour period is sloooooow fishing.
if we could have been there late afternoon when it had warmed a bit things might have been different but you fish when you can fish.
    sometimes its fishing not catching.
still a nice day with a good friendbut  with a pinch of frustration added for seasoning.
next time  thats the ticket    next time.

    good luck to all.

I was in the bubbles just below the unemployment hole on Sat. and saw multable hook-ups including the 10+ fish my driftboat quest hooked. Some guys a little further down had at least 8 fish and the boat on the south side had at least 10 fish as well.

We left around 1:30 and went below the trestle and hit another 5 fish.

There were boats a ways below us but too far to see what you were doing.
We got there about 9 I'd guess.
the lo outdoors cam hole was open on the south side.
charlie fished it and i fished above him.
we hit a half dozen there the week before but nada thing that day.
we weren't walking down since it looked like it was more crowded down there.
    now we know why.
if i show up late will you let me fish your clients water like i used to let you sportsmans lodge guides fish mine in the day.
are you and kent holding some sort of carp fishing trophies in your avatard.

You know you are always welcome, I wish you had come down. The driftboat on your side was holding rapalas in the current on the noodle rods and they wacked about 8 fish doing that method. We were fishing Mooses Bubble hole. I had a Marine try to move in on us and that lead to having words, maybe you heard some of that. In the end I was shaking hands and thanking him for his service. Besides the fact he was my age, he was built like a 25 year old kick boxer. who was about to kick mine.

Ya that was the 2nd place trophies from the 50hr tourney.
