what's your prediction for this weekend ?

I figure this weekend will get mega angler traffic .
lots of guys waiting for it to be "worth it" before  they  c'mup
This weekend will be "it" for them

so what's your prediction, will there be more fish than anglers, or more anglers than fish this weekend  ?

Maybe Sunday will fish OK but that was a very different weather pattern 2012/10/31 09:18:34 (permalink)
The wind came in due east or North East quite a bit. I am curious to see what the fish do. This year they are here but have not really shown up in any good numbers yet. I'm not talking about 10 fish in a low hole but hundreds in the long streaches. November is the month they typically run in big numbers. If the forcast holds up Tuesday or Wednesday should be prime if they run.

I predict there will be more garbage on the banks. I also predict there will be more fish leaving on ropes.

Been watching the weather up there and it looks promising.  Like the fact that the water gauges are starting to come down slightly.  May not have to bring my anchor now.

I wouldn't worry, doubt they snagged or caught many in 900 - 800cfs of flow today.  Anything over 200cfs is pretty much blown out.  I'd check out the Walnut gauge before making a trip tomorrow, just sayin!

Thanks.  I've been checking the gauge too, but figured a day looking at the stream is better than a day thinking about it.

Went up today with the woman to check stuff out. Everything is a mess. The creek mouths are totally re routed. The water has dug out trout run and now directly connects to the lake instead of taking that turn. Lots of fishing swimming up into it. The Elk mouth has entire full adult trees laying on the bank. Car Tires, Leaves, garbage, its a wreck. The  mouth at elk is about 100+ feet wider now. All creeks are blown out and raging but Surprisingly We both got into a fish and that shocked me.. The old little inlet at the mouth of Elk is no longer and the mouth is now the lake, haha.
