10/14/12

Well I was not going to go up, but the sun came out and I could not help myself.  Only fished for 2 hours or so.   Fished from the bend above the tall bridge  to the staircase.   I was fishing for steel targeting some faster water and pockets.  Moving along trying to hit as much water as I could.   Fresh silver Ho's here on stringers as well as kings,  couldn't sell all of them but it looked to be a mix of clipped and unclipped fish .    I saw no steel on stringers.   1 nice brown looking to be 7 to 8 lb was on a stringer.   I had one small take, but it was either a chub or a smaller bow or brown bout 8 or 9 inches,  did not get it in.   All fish I saw landed were not takers if you know what I mean.   Seen alot of mishandling of fish today, holding them up for pics and then just throwing them back in to float downstream.   It was nice to see the water up.

if your going to fish and catch and releash you owe it to the fish that you should make sure they're revivde and ready to be releashed. Thats ashame but as we all know there are plenty of people that don't show the river any respect one day it will bite back.

I saw 2 people fight kings for quite a while, hold them up for pics and do NOTHING to revive them.  Just drop them and kick them into the current.  Both floated belly up.

BTW  I saw alot more females today than in the last few weeks, before it would be 3 or 4 to 1 and today it was more of a 50/50 mix

I think i'm gonna try for one more quick trip next week. Preferably early in the week. Hard to leave though. I saw an absolute monster buck tonight.
