Pineville Saturday 10-13-2012

Quite crowded but still enough room to fish. Fished a few hours with bobber for trout - nothing. Switched over to drift style for a few hours and was lucky enough to land a salmon and get a fish picture (below). Called it quits about 1:30 PM.
 
Only saw salmon caught and not so many. A lot less fish there than my last trip of Thursday 10-04-2012. Water flow/temperature is nicely up/down, air is cool, some leaves in the water, and the other fisherman were polite and friendly.
 
I've pretty much worked through my 2012 salmon fever. It's getting to look a lot like steelhead season.

    Thanks for the report, the madness is slowing down. Hey 2B, I can't hear the calliope any more!  Glad you got one to show. Steelhead time is getting very, very close for me . YEEAAAHHHHH!

    gonna see if the circus left town on tues or its just time for the show in the second ring to start.
    if you are talking salmon i took the time to put two on the stones.
     
    your late.
    there were more steelbows than a newbie has a right to expect for a season last week.
    the water temp being perfect for them they were chasing down swung flies and they were large fast and liked the air as much as the water once hooked.
    it was roid rage they had i'd swear to it in court.

    Thanks for the report and Congrats on your fish!!
    Nice combo of fish entering down low.
    Cant decide to use the drift boat Monday or not. Wont really give us any advantage with so many fish around.
    Might make for a nice boat ride :)
    I'd guess there going to keep this flow - plus run off, but will have to check this afternoon for the update.
    Dont be throwing any crickets at me if I pass you by :)
